LEKMA Hospital Started operation 21st DECEMBER 2010. collaboration between two countries saw the establishment of LEKMA hospital. A CHINA- GHANA FRIENDLY HOSPITAL now PROVIDEs ESSENTIAL QUALITY HEALTH CARE SERVICES IN A DIGITALISED AND FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT.

The LEKMA hospital, situated at Teshie in Accra, is a Ghana Health Service facility built by the Chinese Government as a China-Ghana Friendship Hospital. It is a 150 bed facility that has all the units and specialties of a General Hospital such as General OPD, Paediatrics, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Surgery with every modern equipment. It also offers dental, eye, ear, nose and throat services as well as preventive health services and mental health services.
LEKMA Hospital is a centre of excellence for Malaria Research with focus to eventually help to eliminate malaria from the country, HIV research and Antimicrobial Stewardship and Antimicrobial Resistance prevention activities
The hospital is a collaborative center for orthodox and alternative and complementary medicine. The Hospital serves the needs of over 217,303 population in its catchment area, and beyond through a team of Medical Practitioners, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals as well as Paramedical staff.
